CSO engagement programs like field visits, workshops, sponsorships for local events and community initiatives are a great context for students to build community with other civic-minded students. On the other hand, it could also provide an opportunity for employment as in the job shadow day program which was indicated by our students that one or more of the relationships they formed during their Community engagement experience continued to be important to them and in some cases, throughout their entire University careers.
